Wadadli Riders (Antigua & Barbuda, Italy)
Wadadli, this is the ancient name of the island of Antigua, in the West Indies, and right here a trio of musicians, originally from Italy, got together a few years ago forming the band, all moved by a great love for instrumental surf and beach music.
So, with a repertoire of surf music and 60s legendary hits, Wadadli Riders played for the first time in Antigua just before summer 2005 and since then the have been moving between Italy and the Caribbean, always with great successes and enthusiastic audiences.
The band started immediately working on original material taking as main influences all 60s surf music, especially Astronauts, Centurians, Dick Dale, Lively Ones and a few more artists. As for the covers proposed in the set lists, Wadadli Riders sing some nice beach music classics hard to hear around, such as Annette Funicello's, keeping the show very brilliant, energetic and funny.
